“First Drafts” is a collection of five demos recorded, produced, and written by Haleigh. These are five of Haleigh’s favorite songs in her catalog and the stories behind their creation. The project features co-writes with some of Nashville’s most talented up-and-coming artist-writers, Peytan Porter and Hailey Verhaalen.
When crafting “First Drafts”, Haleigh wanted the experience to remind listeners of being in a live songwriter round. The recordings are raw and emotional- showcasing intricate vocal layering and harmonies with light instrumentation to highlight Haleigh’s un-refined vocal delivery. Each track begins with a short description of the song’s inspiration, narrated by Haleigh.
